The Department of Arts was established in the academic year 2014-15. The department offers specializations in English, Economics and Psychology. There is one division each for F.Y.B.A., S.Y.B.A. and T.Y.B.A. with the intake capacity of 120 students. All the courses are affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. With 5 students in 2014-15, the number of students enrolled has increased to 166 in 2019-20.
The B.A. course enables students to be skilled human resources in their respective fields. The department aims to impart fundamental and advanced concepts, effective communication and life skills. The Department has clubs like Kolors of Kaveri (Arts Club) and Kaveri Kautilyas (Economics Club) where students get a chance to showcase their talents in fine and performing arts and intellectual pursuits. The Department also conducts the annual Kaveri Fillm Festival. The Film Festival was started in 2015 with an objective to make students understand and appreciate world cinema and thereby encourage learning of finer nuances of the creative process.
To instill in the learners values and skills of a proactive human being for a better world
The college follows the eligibility norms prescribed by the University. As per University guidelines, the B.A. Degree Course will consist of three years.
The student joining the First Year (FY) B.A. Course shall opt for six subjects as follows:
At the beginning of every academic year, students of Second and Third Year are provided with intense bridging lecture sessions on their respective specialization subjects. The initial 6 days and 2 weeks sessions are designed exclusively to bridge the knowledge gap related to the special subjects.
Mock Tests are conducted twice in every academic year. These tests are conducted with the objective of preparing students for the Term-end as well as Annual Examination. Students get a chance to assess their level of understanding with the help of these tests so that they can better prepare themselves.
With the objective of self-learning, notes making and self-reliance, the assignments are allotted to students. It also helps them to have concept clarity and be better prepared for continuous assessment.
Alongside regular teaching-learning practice, students are introduced to seminars, workshops, guest lectures etc. on the relevant topics which would acquaint them with practical experience.

The establishment of the Department of Commerce was itself the stepping stone for the college in the year 2005. With the humble start of one division at the first year with 56 students, it grew to 900 plus students today. The introduction of Post Graduate course in the year 2019 added one more feather in the Department’s cap.
In all these years, the Department with its vision and continuous efforts could achieve greater heights in terms of students’ achievement and progression. The biggest strength of the department is dedicated and qualified staff and disciplined students.
